“Nobody teaches us how to be a parent. At one point, you find yourself alone at home, looking at your newborn baby. And you don't know what and how to do. And so you cry. Because there is some kind of social pressure about how motherhood has to be a happy journey. So you do not dare say anything. I had so many questions and fears, and I could not talk about it”, a young mother once said.

Science and in particular neuroscience teaches us every day how the environment in which babies are conceived and raised, shapes the adults they will become. The main objective of this talk is to initiate and increase awareness of the phase that starts during the 4th month of pregnancy to your child's 2nd birthday- and alleviate the burdens of new parents. This is a fundamental time for the child’s development from health, cognitive and social perspectives.

The talk will focus on the way we, as parents, should interact and behave with our young kids. Drawing on what has been implemented for decades in northern Europe, and more recently in France, Adrien will deliver some very concrete measures and tools to support parents during this critical time and provide them with actionable, tried and true information. He will also address the challenge of balancing parenthood and professional life, and its impact in terms of childcare.

All this and more:

  • Gain a better understanding and more awareness of the importance of early development for the future
  • Strengthen your skills as a parent to raise a kid in a secure emotional and physical environment
  • Get tools, tips and references on language, the importance of play, nutrition, cultural health, and screen exposure
